The principle aim of the mini section of the club is to gradually introduce children to the game of rugby. At Emanuel Rugby Club we encourage a friendly, enjoyable but still competitive approach to the game.

Sportsmanship, Friendship and Team Spirit are paramount.
The players are encouraged to compete and win - but never to lose sight of the traditional ethos of rugby. The players are trained by RFU qualified mini-rugby coaches and referees.

Tall or short, fast or not-so-fast, big or little, girl or boy - there’s a place for you to have great, safe fun playing Mini-Rugby, the world’s fastest growing team sport for kids.

OERFC. The Club vision statement.

To continue to develop the game of rugby within our senior club and maintain and grow our youth sides. To increase our level of R.F.U based training for coaches and referees and to improve our delivery of rugby coaching to our players... To improve communication links with Emanuel School and other schools within our geographical area and forge links with our local community. To promote Old Emanuel RFC as a safe environment for children to develop physically, mentally and socially by providing good role models and mentors. Senior side, to see the first team achieve promotion into the London leagues and continue to develop the other teams in Merit Tables and Reserve Leagues. To increase and maintain the senior teams within Old Emanuel RFC. To encompass all aspects of rugby including seven a side and Initiate and promote the female aspect and involvement within the club, thus having greater involvement in schools for seven a side rugby for both sexes, and initiate plans to build the club in light of this objective. To investigate how the club can develop in partnership with the Olympic Movement.
